Banks (Barbados) Breweries Limited is BHL's flagship company accounting for at least 25% of the Group's annual revenue in the 2008 financial year. Banks Beer the lager which Barbadians identify with as their own, is the country's most popular beer and an international award winner since 1971.

The standards of quality daily set and met by the Banks production team are such that the Brewery’s products have consistently won awards in international beer competitions; 2001 was a red letter year when all of its products won gold at the prestigious Monde Sélection Awards in Belgium.
In addition, Tiger Malt is the number one selling malt in Toronto, having over 80 per cent of market share.
Banks is among the region’s leaders in employing state-of-the-art technology in its production processes. It is certified to the prestigious Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Quality standards, the Food and Beverage Quality System most respected in Europe and North America.
Banks produces just over 50 million bottles of product a year.
