Senior Managers Appointed

November 14, 2019

Banks Holdings Limited (“BHL”) is excited to announce the addition of two new members to its management committee. Ms. Khadija Marshall is moving to the role of Business, Budgeting, and Performance Manager and Sales Finance Manager of Banks Holdings Ltd., while Mr. Wendell Scantlebury is the company’s Financial Controller.

Ms. Marshall joined the BHL Group of Companies in 2013 as a graduate engineer. She immediately began an upward trajectory, first as an Asset Care Analyst with Banks (Barbados) Breweries Ltd., and eventually taking on leadership roles of Business Analyst and later, Business, Budgeting, and Performance Manager. In her new role, she oversees the financial performance of Anheuser-Busch InBev (“ABI”)’s operations in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica, as well as in Barbados. A National Scholar with a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University College London, Ms. Marshall is the youngest member of BHL’s management committee.

Mr. Scantlebury began his career at BHL in 2018 as a Financial Controller, responsible for reporting statutory financials and ensuring the company’s compliance with local laws and regulations. In his short time with the company, his role has expanded to include the responsibility for the internal financial controls and external financial reporting of ABI’s operations in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, and Antigua. Mr. Scantlebury is a graduate of the University of Liverpool with a Master of Science in International Management with more than a decade of experience in accounting and finance.

“I am honored by this opportunity,” said Ms. Marshall. “With my background in engineering and my operational experience, I see my new role as a chance to improve the relationship between the operational and financial worlds to improve our performance as an organization.”

Her sentiments were echoed by Mr. Scantlebury, who is also eager to take on the expanded responsibilities in his new role. “I’ve been with BHL for just over a year, but my experiences here have been extremely rewarding. I am excited about the way forward as we modernize and streamline processes in Barbados and the other regional territories,” he said.

Also offering congratulations to the newest members of the management committee was BHL’s Group Human Resources Manager, Lisa Ridley-Paul, who said, “Khadija and Wendell are both highly valued and skilled members of our team. At BHL, we believe that our greatest strength is our people and we have been thrilled by their rapid development over the years. We’re confident that their demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication will make them both invaluable additions to our management committee.”

Both appointments took effect on July 1, 2019.
